3. Jim McClure shares some tidbits from Frances Greenawalt Wolf?s ?Random Musings on My 90 Years, 1892-1982.? He found the book at York County Heritage Trust?s Book Blast. It contains 26 pages of insight into York County, including this:
Frances and her girlfriends wanted to learn to swim and asked the YMCA to use its pool.
?We were refused on the excuse that our wool suits would clog the drain,? she said
I couldn?t even begin to imagine wearing a wool swimsuit!
