The Integration Consortium (IC) Announces their ... - Small Business

Jeff Rubin, the former Chief Economist of CIBC World Markets and the author of Why Your World Is About To Get A Whole Lot Smaller built his reputation as one of Canada?s top economists based on a number of successful predictions including the housing bust of the early 90s and the rise of oil prices. In his recent book, Mr. Rubin predicts 5 per barrel oil by 2012 and with it the end of globalization, a movement towards local sourcing and a need for massive scaling up of energy efficiency. www.thebusinessofclimatechange.com

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) December 4, 2008

The Integration Consortium is calling on thought leaders, architects, practice leaders, business leaders, and product leaders to submit papers for the 2009 Integration Journal that can help achieve a higher degree of maturity and application interoperability by more effectively managing change.

The theme of the 2009 Integration Journal is Managing Change. Technology solutions have been promising a ?silver bullet? solution for several decades. The real silver bullet may be the combined disciplines of Information Architecture, Program Management, Systems Integration and Configuration Management to govern and control changes. The solution to today?s IT complexity is to simply perform these four practice areas in a disciplined fashion.

If you are such a leader, (non IC Members are welcome to participate) you are invited to submit a paper, by January 31, 2009, to the Publication Committee for consideration in the 2009 issue. A peer-review process will select the best papers which will be published in the Integration Journal. Of the accepted papers, the best ones (the best of the best) will receive the IC Award for Excellence designation and will be highlighted in the Journal. Selected authors may also be invited to present their papers at and upcoming Global or Regional Integration Summits.

John Schmidt, Integration Consortium Chairman, says, ?2009 will mark the 6th year we have produced an annual peer-reviewed publication. The quality of papers submitted by thought leaders and practice leaders from around the world has increased each year and we anticipate the 2009 Integration Journal being the best one yet. We are very proud of this program and the contribution it is making in advancing the industry body of knowledge in this critical area.?

?Many IC Members have placed this opportunity on their calendars long before we officially launched the Call for Papers?, says Leanne MacDonald, IC Executive Director. ?The Integration Journal and the IC Award for Excellence designation is catching on. Obtaining peer approval is the ultimate compliment. Our review process awards top authors with the Award for Excellence designation, but simply having your work accepted for publication in the book is a feat in itself. Not all submissions are approved, which supports the IC?s commitment to produce top notch thought leadership that is not clouded by marketing.?
